Roger Seaton

President

Mr. Seaton was named President of Comtech Systems, Inc. in April 2021.  Prior to that, he served as President of Tactical Communications since August 2020.  Mr. Seaton joined Comtech in 2016 as part of the Telecommunications Systems Inc. acquisition where he served as the Group Vice President of Professional and Technical Services since 2009.

Prior to 2009, Mr. Seaton was the CEO of a successful startup, Sidereal Solutions, that was founded in 2006, grew to over $10M of revenue, and was sold to TCS in November of 2009.  He is a proud Army veteran with 13 years of service as a satellite communications specialist.

Doug Houston

Sr. Vice President, Programs and Operations

Mr. Houston joined Comtech in 2016 as part of the Telecommunications Systems Inc. acquisition where he served in a wide range of positions including Senior Program Manager, Business Development Manager, and Vice President of DoD Operations since 2012.

Prior to 2012 Mr. Houston served 25 years in the U.S. Army in a variety of leadership positions ranging from Squad Leader to Commander. Mr. Houston received a BS in Computer Information Systems from Cameron University, and a MA in Management and Leadership from Webster University.

Paul Scardino

Sr. Vice President, Government Sales

Mr. Scardino joined Comtech in August 2021. Prior to Comtech, Mr. Scardino led the Business Development Team supporting the continued growth of the Space and Airborne Systems Segment as well as assisting synergy development and integration at L3Harris Technologies. Mr. Scardino’s experience spans 30 years in the satellite communications’ industry beginning as a systems engineer and project manager at Satellite Transmission Systems, and developing into an executive leader in sales, business development, marketing, sales operations, product management, engineering and program management at Globecomm and Speedcast.

Mr. Scardino holds a BSEE from the Polytechnic Institute of New York University and an MBA in Business Management from Hofstra University in New York.

Tim Giroux

Vice President, Contracts / Trade Compliance

Mr. Giroux was named Vice President, Contracts/Trade Compliance of Comtech Systems, Inc. in April 2021.  In this role, Mr. Giroux oversees all areas of contracts management and trade compliance for domestic and international customers.  Since joining Comtech in 2011, he has served in multiple roles, including Director of Contracts and Empowered Official for Comtech Mission-Critical Technologies, which included Comtech Mobile Datacom’s group since August 2018.

Mr. Giroux has over 25 years of direct, hands-on experience in contracts, trade compliance and program/system security supporting the Department of Defense, Intelligence Community, and state/local governments.

Alan Swan

Chief Financial Officer

Alan Swan is the Division CFO/Vice President of Finance at Comtech Systems Inc. and has been with the company since 2007. Alan received a BA from St. Olaf College in Mathematics, Economics, and German and received an MBA with concentrations in finance and international business from the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota.

Alan has over 20 years of international finance experience and has worked and lived in Germany, Austria, Hong Kong, and Taiwan, where he has held a variety of senior roles. Alan also spent over 10 years as a financial executive with Siemens. Given the global presence of CSI, his knowledge of international finance across many industries has been vital for Comtech Systems.

Donja Long

Director, HR

Donja Long joined Comtech in 2016 as part of the TeleCommunication Systems Inc. acquisition where she served for 10 years in various roles within the Human Resources Department. Donja was promoted to Director of Human Resources in 2018 and enjoys working with the unique personnel serving in Comtech.

She has a long history of working with employees outside the standard office setting and across the globe. With more than 25 years of personnel experience, she and her team strive to communicate the goals and objectives of Comtech corporation as well as support the success of each and every person on staff.

Mike Smith

Director, IT Services

Mike Smith is the Director of IT Services at Comtech Systems Inc, and has been with the company since 2013. He received a BS from University of Phoenix in Information Technologies and has served in various IT leadership roles over the span of his career. Mr. Smith has over 25 years of management and project development experience in the Information Systems field and has successfully completed projects for numerous government and commercial clients.

His background includes software development, process re-engineering, and network infrastructure planning, implementation and maintenance. His various positions have focused on improving organizational processes and procedures, developing effective workflows, and efficient technology transfer through regimented training curriculum. He is a veteran of the US Navy submarine fleet.
